Adieu, adieu, to you and you and you.

Spring break in Houston was refreshing, I did a lot of spring cleaning at my mom's house and got things ready for us to move.

We're in the process of packing now and we'll be moving in a week and a half.

I'll miss you all (yes, even anonymous who says I'm depressing) and I wish you all the best but it's time for me to get my life back.

Later skaters!

So, after my last post I realize I should have explained a little more so here is your explanation:

There is a possibility that I will be moving a little sooner than expected, I don't really want to get into the reasons right now but know that everything is okay.

There is a definite end to Friday Night Ambulance that is coming soon, I just don't know how soon that is. When I move to Houston I will be living with my mother and as much as we have worked on our relationship recently, I don't want her being privy to my innermost thoughts.

Unless I replace my broken laptop before I move, it will be unavoidable to have my blog address in her computer's history and I'm just not willing to take the risk of her finding it.

So, if I move in the next few weeks then this is probably it but even if not, the end is near.

I've had fun...and at times not so much fun. I wish you all the best and if I get a new computer then I will be sure to look you guys up. Take care.

Taking a break.

I'm taking a break from blogging for awhile, depending on what happens in the next few weeks it may be permanent, we'll see. I'll be back after spring break to let you all know.

This is me ranting!

When I got pregnant at 20 I was excited, we tried for 6 months to get pregnant and wouldn't you know it, the second we stopped trying I got knocked up. The timing sucked a little, I found out when Luis was 2 weeks into a 12 month tour in Iraq, but we came to appreciate the timing, he was gone for the pregnancy but on mid-tour for the birth. Things have a way of working out.

We wanted to have our kids while we were young, we understand the strain the Army puts on a person and Luis knew that he would be "broken" in his old age (physically, not his penis or anything). I liked the idea of being under the age of 40 when my kids graduated from high school but I didn't expect that people would treat me like a moron simply because I was younger than them.

I'm dealing with a situation at Nicholas' school right now where the entire staff talks to me like I'm some dumb teenage mom that doesn't know what I'm doing. I'm not saying all teenage moms are dumb but I'm 27 for god sakes, I'm not a kid.

His principle has twice talked to me like I have no clue what I'm doing with my kid, like she knows better and I don't know my son. It's getting to the point that it's really pissing me off and I might go postal on their Christian asses.

I really can't wait till summer is here and he is out of this stupid school and he'll stop coming home and saying things like, "Jesus loves you" and "Through God all things are possible." I know it's wrong but I hate watching my son get brainwashed by Christians, I've been there and done that and it takes a long time to undo that guilt. This will definitely be the last Christian school my kids go to and the last school that believes in corporal punishment.

Good Times

Today was a pretty great day.

I slept in this morning, took a long hot shower, then we went shopping.

I got a mani/pedi this evening.

I sat on the trampoline with the kids tonight looking at the moon through binoculars then we ate homemade cherry vanilla ice cream.

The only thing that is going to suck is I'm losing an hour of sleep tonight but I guess there is no such thing as a perfect day.

Surprises in every envelope.

Today I went to hell and back (a.k.a. Walmart) to pick up some film that I had dropped off on Friday. Seriously, it takes 5 days to develop film? You get one hour or 5 days? Anyway, when I dug out my camera the other day there was a half-used roll of film in it and so I finished it up and then wondered what could possibly be on the rest of it.

Today I found out just how shitty of a mother I am.

The film had pictures from when Dollar was a puppy, she's almost 3 now.

There were pictures of when Sophia was a baby, less than a year old, she is 3 now.

And then there were pictures of when we cut all of Sophia's hair off, she was almost 2 years old at the time.

With the pictures I took the other day, that roll of film spanned about 2 1/2 years. I am a shitty mom that should probably take more pictures of my kids.

Douchebag, party of one.

Okay, I want to start this off by saying that I do not watch The Bachelor nor have I ever watched it or The Bachelorette. I think they are stupid, completely unrealistic and anyone that goes on those shows actually expecting to find love is complete fucking moron.

That being said...

...can you fucking believe what this ass crack Jason did? What a douche.

Now, I think those girls are idiots for being on that show but even a complete idiot doesn't deserve to be embarrassed like that in front of millions of viewers. That poor girl is going to be so damaged from this experience and that douche hole didn't seem to care one bit.

I've only seen the clips on yahoo but at least she walked out of there with some dignity by telling him what an ass he was. Clearly he paid no mind to breaking the poor girl's heart because he just moved right along to the other girl (who is clearly a moron for taking him back) and then kissed her like it was no big deal. You just broke off your engagement, at least act like you care.

From what I hear, there is another show on tonight, I can't wait to read on yahoo what other crap they have to say.

The worst part about this whole thing is that poor confused little boy will probably grow up with the same disregard for other's feelings as his stupid dad.

Really Annoyed!!!!

So, a few weeks back my husband sold some stuff on eBay, now we've sold stuff before on eBay and never had a problem but this time was different.

We got our money via pay pal and shipped out the item the following day. A week and a half goes by and still we have no feedback so my husband emailed the guy and asked about the item. At that point the guy decides to say that he has not received the item and he really needs it. I asked him to give it a few more days and in response I got an email asking me to refund him the money and that he would send the item back to me IF it ever showed up in the mail.

I very nicely responded saying that was not something I was considering at the moment and I would look into the situation. I mean, I mailed the item along with 6 other items and all the others were received.

I spent most of the afternoon looking into ways to resolve this and then I decided to check this guy's feedback that he has left for others, genius, right? Apparently, he's a scammer, he has had 9 other auctions that he has "not received the item" and been refunded his money.

So, he filed a complaint with pay pal and opened an investigation or whatever it is they call it and basically I have to have delivery confirmation documentation (which I don't have) or I'm going to have to refund this guy the money. And the worst part is that I know this guy received it and he's going to keep the $100 item with no penalties. It makes me furious.

The worst part is that there is nothing I can do and it totally sucks. I'll tell you what though, I'll always be getting delivery confirmation from now on. Lesson learned.

I'm Betty freakin' Crocker.

Want to know how I spent my Sunday afternoon?

Making this...

It's a Chocolate Espresso Cheesecake with Ganache courtesy of Ina Garten of The Barefoot Contessa. You can get the recipe here.

I haven't tasted it yet because Luis is taking it to work today, I know what you're thinking, "Those lucky soldiers." Well, that's what I'm thinking anyway.

I'm not really sure why but Luis asked me on Friday if I would make something yummy for him to take in on Monday. I decided I was bored with all my usual recipes so I thought I would give this a shot. It's a lot of chocolate, I bet it would go great with a glass of milk. I'll let you know how it tastes... if there is any left.

Rocktown, yesterday.

Yesterday we took the kids rock climbing, we thought it was a great idea. Nicholas is a monkey and loves to climb everything in sight, apparently everything except a rock wall. Sophia screamed as soon as she made it higher than about 3 feet but I did manage to get a few good pictures.

Nicholas started enjoying it but then he climbed to the side and when it was time for him to come down it caused him to swing to the right a bit and it completely freaked him out.

Even though the kids were crying and complaining that it was cold in there (it was in the 30s) Luis and I decided to climb some to at least make it worth the trip. This is my picture from the top (mind you, this is the kids room that we were climbing in).

And this last picture is of me at the top, looking downright exhausted, I couldn't even muster a smile. In my defense though I was being rushed down because Nicholas had gotten in trouble. I probably would have tried another shot with a smile if I had the time.

It was fun, maybe not as fun as we had hoped but now we know that the kids are not quite ready for rock climbing and next time we won't waste our time....or money.
